Embedding forms, maps and other content

Embedding content on your website from elsewhere is an easy way to integrate with other services and make your content richer.

Adding embed code

  1. Get your embed code:
    1. Forms: create a form with your preferred service and follow their instructions. We recommend Google forms.
    2. Maps: follow Google's instructions to create a map and get the embed code.
    3. Other content: The method for obtaining embed code for other content may vary, adding it to your website will always follow this process.
  2. Go to the page onto which you want to add content.
  3. Edit the page content.
  4. Toggle the text editor into HTML mode.
  5. Locate the position on the page where you want your content.
  6. Paste the embed code.
  7. Update your page and check everything looks good.

iFrames

Lots of embedded content comes in the form of an iFrame. Here are some instructions on how to work with iFrames on your website.

Moving an iFrame

  1. Toggle the text editor into HTML mode.
  2. Locate the content enclosed in the <iframe> tag.
  3. Cut and paste the entire iFrame to a new location on your page.

Resizing an iFrame

To resize an iFrame you need to find the section of code that specifies the pixel dimensions. It will look something like this:

<iframe ... width="600" height="350" ...

Simply update the width and height values to your choosing.

Aligning an iFrame to the right

  1. Toggle the text editor into HTML mode.
  2. Locate the content enclosed in the <iframe> tag.
  3. Add align="right" to the start of your iFrame as indicated here:
<iframe align="right"... </iframe>

Aligning an iFrame to the center

  1. Toggle the text editor into HTML mode.
  2. Locate the content enclosed in the <iframe> tag.
  3. Enclose the iFrame in a paragraph <p> tag and align the paragraph to the center like this:
<p class="text-center"><iframe ... </iframe></p>
